About This Plan
This single-story home puts an open living side and a private sleeping side under one long roofline, so a modest footprint lives larger than its size. It works as a full-time residence, a guest house, or a quiet vacation retreat.
Exterior and outdoor space
The home is a long, low form under a gable roof, with a covered front porch set into the middle. The porch is framed by a gable with exposed timber trusses and posts, and the front door opens into a proper foyer, not straight into the living room. As shown, the walls are finished with vertical board siding and the roof with metal, but those finishes are yours to choose. An attached two-car garage sits at one end for parking and storage out of the weather.
Interior layout
One side is open living and dining wrapped around an L-shaped kitchen with a pantry to keep counters clear. There is no island, so cooking stays efficient and the living and dining areas flow together. A central hall separates this active side from the sleeping side as a sound buffer. At the rear, the primary bedroom has its own full bathroom and a large walk-in closet. A second bedroom and full bathroom sit off the hall, and a front office handles remote work, a nursery, or hobbies. It is all on one level and step-free.
Versatile by design
The split plan adapts to how you live:
- Full-time home: a real kitchen, two bedrooms, and single-level living suit the long term.
- Work from home: the front office keeps a workspace out of the bedrooms, or becomes a nursery.
- Hosting: the second bedroom and bath, plus a covered porch, give guests room of their own.
With finishes left to you, the same plan can read modern or rustic.
